What's next?

Since I have completed recording my first podcast I now plan to meet with my off campus mentor, Chris, to discuss editing it down to a simpler and more condensed episode. I hope to have my first podcast out by winter break. This process has gone slower than I had hoped in the beginning of the year due to school work and other responsibilities slowing me down. I am excited to meet with Chris and to learn about what is essential and what is not in a final product. I'm especially excited to finally be able to publish my very first episode and have my peers listen to it!

First Interview

For my first podcast I interviewed Sam, a close friend of mine. Sam is creating electronic music for her own Signature project. I chose to interview Sam for my first interview because of the very fact that I know her so well. My off-campus expert, Chris, recommended that I interview a friend in the hopes that the jitters of my very first interview would be lessoned. Of course there were the fair share of giggles and mistakes from both Sam and myself but that was all part of the fun. Over all it was a really fun experience to see my simple questions be transformed into many word answers that told a story. I tried to use the tips that Chris had told me about in an attempt to get the most natural and smooth sounding interview. I can't wait for what's next.
